  • Bloomerang – Fundraising Database Solution
Bloomerang is @fundraiserchad’s database of choice.  He’s been around many of the leading products and by far Bloomerang has been the easiest to use on all fronts.  Many databases excel at ease of data entry, a few are good at reports and queries and very few make setup and changes a breeze.  Bloomerang makes all of these steps easy, even for non-techies.  They also have a completely free offering for very small shops (under 500 donors & less than $100,000 in revenue annually).  Please shop around and see what else is out there, but be sure to add Bloomerang to your list if you’re in the market for a new donor database.   Click here to schedule a demo with their expert staff.
  • Jeff Bliemeister / International Vehicle Appraisers Network (I-VAN) – Vehicle Appraisals
Jeff is the ultimate car guy.  He and Chad worked together at the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum a decade ago.  Jeff was the curator and (surprise, surprise) Chad was the director of development.  Jeff now runs the place (as executive director) and has an encyclopedic knowledge of antique and vintage cars (and what they’re actually worth … not what the donor thinks they’re worth).
  • Mailchimp – Email Marketing Platform
Mailchimp is @fundraiserchad’s email marketing platform of choice for both nonprofits and his own business.  You don’t have to be a designer or tech whiz to use Mailchimp. Their design tools make it easy to create sophisticated campaigns that shine a light on the incredible work that your organization does.
  • Mitch Stuart – Auction Consignment Travel Experiences
Mitch Stuart is a top notch provider of consignment travel experiences for your live auction.  They have some really unique packages that are in demand and will even work with you to fill in the holes on packages that you are putting together on your own.  Their fulfillment is top notch and that’s why I recommend them — you don’t have to worry about your donors being hassled.
  • Wild Apricot – Membership Management Software
Wild Apricot is web-based software for small associations and non-profits to help manage membership, website, events and other activities. Automate and simplify membership tasks for yourself, your members, volunteers, and board.
  • Windfall – Wealth Screening Service
Windfall provides precise net worth data on affluent donors and prospects across the US.  They’re a bit different than the usual suspects in the wealth screening market as they allow you to screen unlimited records, and refresh them as frequently as you’d like (which is important because wealth data changes a lot, and databases constantly grow). Other providers charge by the record, for 1x screening.  They charge one low annual fee for unlimited data.
  • Zoom – Video Conferencing Service
Zoom is the service that @fundraiserchad uses to conduct client coaching calls and his free monthly webinars.  It offers incredibly reliable video conferencing, screen sharing and chat functionalities.  It hasn’t let him down yet, where other services have.
